Useful Links & Support
We understand that separation, family time arrangements and co-parenting can sometimes feel difficult to navigate. Below you will find a range of independent organisations, resources and tools that may provide useful information and support.
These organisations are independent of Norwich Family Time Centre. Inclusion on this page does not constitute an endorsement, and families should consider whether a service or resource is appropriate for their individual circumstances.
👨👩👧 Parenting, Separation & Co-Parenting
Cafcass
Information and resources for children and families involved in family court proceedings, including support with child arrangements and separated parenting.
Cafcass Parenting Plan
A useful resource to help separated parents think through arrangements for their children. Writing arrangements down can provide clarity for both parents. Citizens Advice also recommends recording agreed child arrangements in a parenting plan.
Solihull Approach – Online Parenting Courses

Relate – Co-parenting from Separate Houses
A free toolkit covering communication, managing conflict, children's wellbeing, consistency between homes and shared parenting arrangements.
Citizens Advice – Making Child Arrangements
Practical information about agreeing where children live, the time they spend with each parent, keeping in touch and what to do when parents cannot reach an agreement.
📱 Co-Parenting Apps
OurFamilyWizard
A co-parenting platform offering shared calendars, messaging, expense tracking, document storage and other tools for separated parents. It can also create timestamped records of communications.
AppClose
A co-parenting app providing tools for communication, calendars, requests, expenses and parenting arrangements. Note that AppClose is US-focused, so UK families should check whether its particular features meet their needs.
Some families find that using a dedicated co-parenting app helps to keep communication focused on their children and provides one central place for arrangements, messages and important information. Many co-parenting platforms also maintain a clear, time-stamped record of communication and activity, with messages preserved rather than being editable or deletable by either parent. This can help provide clarity, reduce misunderstandings and support more consistent and accountable communication between separated parents.
🤝 Family Mediation & Resolving Disagreements
Family Mediation Council
Information about family mediation and a searchable register for finding qualified family mediators. Mediation can help separated parents discuss arrangements for children with an independent professional.
