In the UK, over a million children have no contact with one or both parents following separation, leaving them vulnerable to behavioural and emotional challenges. As a newly established service, we are actively working towards accreditation by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC). The Norwich Family Time Centre is proud to be one of many centres across the UK providing a safe, welcoming environment to help children maintain meaningful relationships with absent family members.
The Norwich Family Time Centre is dedicated to fostering positive relationships between children and their non-resident family members in a safe and supportive environment. With nearly a decade of professional experience, our team provides tailored services designed to meet the unique needs of each family. Our offerings include:
A family time supervisor oversees interactions between children and non-resident family members, ensuring their safety and well-being. This service, often court-ordered as part of safeguarding measures, supports the rebuilding of relationships. Comprehensive reports are provided to aid in assessments and decision-making.
Designed for families with no significant risks, this service offers a lower level of supervision to help them transition toward independent contact arrangements. Guidance is available when needed, but no formal reports are included.
Our handover service facilitates the safe transfer of children between parents or carers, reducing conflict and ensuring smooth transitions in a neutral and professional setting.
For families unable to meet in person, this service facilitates communication through letters, cards, or other agreed-upon methods, maintaining essential connections.
For families who cannot meet in person, our virtual family time service offers flexibility through monitored interactions on platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
At the Norwich Family Time Centre, we are committed to delivering high-quality support that strengthens family bonds and promotes positive relationships in a safe, welcoming space.
At the Norwich Family Time Centre, we are always happy to receive testimonials and feedback from families we work with. Your insights help us continuously improve the services we offer and ensure we are meeting the needs of each family. We value your input, whether it's sharing positive experiences or suggesting areas for improvement. By working together, we can make the family time experience as supportive and beneficial as possible. Your feedback is important to us, and we encourage you to share your thoughts whenever possible.
Recent Feedback:
"It was a nice, safe, relaxed, and fun environment. It is the first time I have seen my niece in 3 years, and it was the perfect setting for it to happen considering the circumstances. It is the first time I attended, and Mark was friendly, approachable and had a good laugh with the adults and children. Couldn’t fault him, he conducted the session brilliantly.".
"I just wanted say thank you for all your support. It's quite amazing, how you make the best from the worst, and what was really frightening for me (being "watched") became the highlight of the week, you and your staff being the very first people in this whole very ugly process, who are not prejudiced."
Feedback from FCA (Cafcass): Mark and the team have worked openly and honesty with the child and each of her parents. The thought and discussions around the parenting plan are clear and set out in writing for each of the parents. Provided in a timely and flexible manner. Over and above support provided in handovers.
“Without your help I wouldn’t be seeing my children at all”
"My first impression of the Norwich Family Time Centre, Professional, knowledgeable of the issues and very helpful/supportive, putting the children at the center of everything".
